Joseph T. G. Harper

Picture
Joe has been practicing law since 2003 handling numerous real estate, landlord tenant and construction law cases including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Before entering private practice, he worked as a contractor with his father building custom homes, commercial projects, and remodels. Joe also worked as a prosecutor with the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office serving as a Rule 9 intern.

Joe's practice focuses on advising landlords and helping with evictions and disputes with tenants. He represents general contractors, sub-contractors, and property owners in construction disputes as well as dealing with L & I safety violations. He assists his clients with their small businesses, whether the business is already established, or is just starting up - helping with entity selection and formation, or expanding the business.

Joe also assists and advises clients about their rights as creditor's in bankruptcy, assisting with motions for relief from the automatic stay, filing proofs of claim, and prosecuting adversary proceedings. On a limited basis, he assists clients with Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions and explores with them whether or not bankruptcy is the right option to pursue. Bankruptcy can be a useful tool for the honest debtor, but there may be other options available that may meet your needs without having to file for bankruptcy.
